Pâtisserie rhubarbe opened modestly in October 2010. Stéphanie Labelle believed there was a gap in Montreal for a pastry shop where one could find fresh products every day, made with good seasonal ingredients.
She decided to take the plunge and open in this charming location on rue De Lanaudière, after 8 years of experience in retail and food service. Julien Joré, a chef with over 20 years of experience, has been part of the rhubarbe story from the very beginning, but he officially became a partner during the expansion, when the pastry shop moved to avenue Laurier in May 2017, which allowed Comptoir Rhubarbe to set up there.
Since then, the rhubarbe shop has changed its format and moved in the summer of 2025 to 1320 rue Charlevoix, Pointe St Charles neighborhood. Find us on Saturdays between 9am – 12pm to pick up your orders and grab a few pastries
